Session 1 – 4:30pm – 5:15pm

Testing the Question: creating marking guides

This session will explore how the development of marking guides can be useful for checking the accessibility and suitability of questions and comprehending texts, and to support efficient feedback and marking.

Rubrics: marking or feedback?

A session exploring different types of rubrics to support explicit instruction, set task expectations or provide scaffolded feedback.

Session 2 – 5:30pm – 6:15pm

Helping Early Career Teachers Cope with the Marking Load

A session designed to provide Early Career Teachers with practical strategies to manage formative and summative feedback.

Analytical and Holistic Marking. Discuss.

A panel discussion exploring the advantages of different marking approaches.
