Good Answers 2008

ETA maintains its commitment to providing high quality, relevant resources for teachers and students with the publication of the 2008 editions of the Good Answer guides. Good Answers: 2007 English Course of Study

This year's edition applies the most up to date information from the Curriculum Council about the 2008 examination to annotations of scripts prepared by candidates in the very first examination of the new English Course. Scripts nominated as exemplary by English WACE markers have been annotated and given detailed commentaries which highlight how each candidate has used the examination questions to demonstrate their under-standings of and skills in writing, reading, and viewing. The scripts showcase what is needed to achieve top ranking examination responses.

Students and their teachers can expect relevant, practical advice on how to prepare for the final course examinations. There are comprehensive introductions to each section of the examination which explain the examiners' expectations, as well as a plethora of suggestions for classroom and study activities that students can apply to their English course-work.

Good Answers: 2007 English Literature

This year's edition is referenced to the 2007 English Literature Tertiary Entrance Examina-tion. In the annotated samples, 2008 Literature students can study what the best 2007 examination candidates had to offer. Scripts have been selected for every question on the 2007 paper and cover a wide range of the set texts. Problem solutions for each question explain the examiners’ intentions and the markers’ expectations. Exercises and commen-taries give Literature students the strategies they need to achieve their best in the 2007TEE.
