Early Career English Teachers Survey
The aim of the survey is to map the experiences of early career English teachers in order to know more about the difficulties encountered by early career English teachers and the kinds of support structures offered to them. If you are an early career English teacher we invite you to log on and complete our Early Career English Teacher Online Survey. This research project is hosted by the University of Sydney in partnership with AATE and is being conducted by Jackie Manuel and Cal Durrant. At present we are trying to increase the response rate so that the data is representative of as wide a range of early career English teachers as possible. The survey is up and operational until 30th June at: this link
The survey will then be closed and the results will be analysed and the results published in English in Australia. This survey should give us a good picture of the experiences of early career English teachers and provide some excellent data for the profession to help with mentoring new teachers –in terms of both their university courses and their first years of teaching in schools.
